I'm away to do a fresh install of windows XP pro using an original XP disc, not SP1 or SP2. It's to go onto an Sata2 250GB... what i want to know is will XP installer pick up on the drive without a floppy as i don't have a floppy drive. or do you suggest "aquiring" a more recent copy of XP SP2, or is there another way of getting the sata drivers on?
XP with SP2 picked up the drive no problem, mounted and formatted it last night.
