Got my evga 8800gtx ko acs 3 today for installation and guess what..bloody thing wont fit in the shuttle. Lengthwise its fine but the oversized shroud on it presses against the drive cage too much. Even with the cage removed theres a couple of capacitors on the motherboard that the card actually sits on preventing it from being installed properly :(

Think i'll keep it, ive got a lian li coming today, just a matter of finding a dinky motherboard for a bit. :(

tbh the card is pretty big, so your asking a lot fitting it in a shuttle case

unlucky though, what was your previous card?

8800gts, i assumed it could fit in the case as theres a guy on here with one in an sn26p chassis. Ive an sn25p and theyre pretty similar, not similar enough though.

My only concern at the mo is getting to test the card to make sure its working fine, was sent from the states on tuesday and arrived today. Box was totally shrink wrapped with seals on the flaps so its definately new.

Just had a quick check of it in a friends pc, boots into windows fine, didn't get a chance to test any games or whatever. The hunt is now on for a decent 939 mobo, got a thread in the wanted section if any of you have an abit\asus\dfi board you;re looking rid of. :)

Thats terrible bad luck that :( still will fit in the that nice Lian Li case your getting so all is not lost, and its a cracking card. :)

Im suprised by the size and weight of it, could be used as a weapon.

They really are big cards, specially with the coolers the companies put on em!!

Should fit fine in my Lian-Li V1100+

Wouldn't mind getting one myself but can't really justify over 300 as yet ... hopefully they might have dropped to nearer that later this year come G92 et al ;)

If you're going to splash the cash on a system that will allow you to use your GTX to it's fullest, I would advise going Core 2 Duo rather than Socket 939.
