Sudden HTPC (ION) HD problem!!

Hi,

I have a ZBOX HD11 pc with ION2 system and while every HD content was playing fine, now the pc can't play the hd without serious pauses and problems.
There were three changed made:
1) installed new 295 NV drivers
2) installed new VLC v2
3) installed a small gigabit switch

My impression is that the problem started with the new drivers but I dont know why. After a while with testing the zbox got totally mad and unstable...Right now I have formatted the pc and installed Windows again with same drivers and problem remains as far as hd content is concerned. I have also tested XMBC and mpc-hc with same or even worse results! I am also downloading previous nv version just to try it
Any other ideas?

It should not be too hard to monitor cpu (cpuz) and GFX (Afterburner) while loaded up to find the problem

You would be better using win7's media foundation codec...which you can bugger up quite easily if you throw codecs at it
All I add is Haali splitter and vsfilter and it will play virtually everything up to 1080p on an dual Atom/Ion setup with WMP or media center.

Well the problem was corrected by reverting back to drivers 280.26.
Performance now is superb, I wonder why...

Strange you did not try the older drivers first ?
