Hey, ive had my 8800gts a few weeks now and its been going great.

But today i turned my pc on and noticed a loss in fps on all games.. oblivion used to be around 50fps outside constant, now at 25 or lower..

3d05 score has gone down from sig to ~15k..loss of almost 2k points...

What the hell?! Been using the 158.19 drivers without issue for a few days.. but i come home from college today and games are just playing rather bad...im getting less than 100fps in CSS

I havnt touched any settings at all since playing last night.. im really baffled!

Any help is great, thanks.

- Card reset to stockspeed?
- CPU throttling due to heat?
- AA/AF settings active?

I had a lot of settings in the CP return to stock Nvidia settings.

When i installed the 158 drivers my frame rates halved not sure why.

Whin I installed the 158.18 drivers, the same thing happened. I looked in rivatuner and found that the clocks had dropped to 198/396

I had to re-install vista to get things working properly again. I then installed 158.18 again, and it worked ok, but now stalker is constantly crashing to desktop. It doesn't matter if I uninstall and put any of the others back on, it just keeps CTD!

The 158.18 have been nothing but a pain in the proverbial for me. I've given up on stalker for now, and started playing FEAR XP until they can get stalker sorted.

Clocks are normal, everything is exactly as it was!!

Tried reverting back to drivers on the disc...no luck, if anything it was worse!!

My hdd replacement is coming tomorrow so i will see how it goes with that installed...with a nice fresh copy of XP.

Any other ideas as to why this may have happened?!
