Hi all,

I have an external USB connected to my main machine, drive G.

I was copying photos from G to a photo folder on another drive that my wife was accessing via the network. It was running slowly when all of a sudden everything just froze and a reboot was needed.

G: would no longer read. I've removed it and plugged it into my laptop and it's now showing as drive D:

Disk management is showing the following information for the drive:

500mb Healthy EFI System Partition
D: 452.24 GB RAW Healthy (Primary Partition)
455 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
12.47 GB Healthy (Recovery Partition)

Now, it's a 500GB drive that has all my wedding/business info on, I have backups of everything apart from the last wedding photos/video and a small shoot my wife did with our kids.

I'd like to restore this drive if possible, any ideas?

Could try TestDisk? It's freeware and successfully used it to recover some photos from an SD card before. Not tried it on an actual hard drive though.
