Recently and repeatedly whilst play CSS my pc has been crashing or just dying. Having looked at ITE smart guardian whilst playing i have notice it hitting 50 degrees, this is with the side of the case open and my 12 inch desktop fan blowing on it on full setting. This is telling me that its shutting down/crashing due to over heating (set to 60 degrees in bios)

Now, when i first got the cpu and clocked it (still the same 2.58ghz) it wasnt hitting more then high 40's and that was in summer, its now stupidly cold and its getting hotter! Could this be due to the heatsink coming unseated or something else?

Any ideas

Could be the heatsink has become unseated but its more likely that its clogged up. Remove the fan and dust off the heatsink.
