I'm sure I used to ignore her on TV while her and Mel did rubbish comedy.

But I was just watching Newsnight review - a program where a group of self satisfied, journo, intellectual idiots dissect and discuss, in the most nauseating way, new films, books, operas etc. And there she is, wearing spectacles, flailing her arms about, struggling to find long words, sounding like a moron as she joins in with the other talentless hacks.

Either she was over-intelliegent and just slummed it with the bad comedy to open up opportunities for herself, or worse, she's promoted herself to this lofty position thanks to her mediocre Sunday morning fluff TV work.

I hate those kaftan wearing late night reviewer types.

Seen her do her own stand up a couple of years ago. Was very good - quite intelligent as well. I think she's much better now she's not working with Mel.

Plus, I find her strangely attractive.... ;)

I've seen her on quite a few things and she's quite intelligent, and occasionally pretty funny (eg when she was on David Baddiel's Heresy on radio 4). I agree she was rubbish with Mel Giedroyk (sp?), and Newsnight review is a bit too far up it's own ****.

My problem with that show, and seeing her on it, is the way they speak.

I once saw Will Self interviewing Mike Leigh. Self asked Leigh a question; he went off on one of these ridiculous intellectual rants. He'd read some meaning or reason or symbolism into some piece of Leigh's work, and his interpretation made no sense at all. Thankfully not to Mike Leigh either, who just responded that he had no idea what he was on about :)

A good review shouldn't make the reviewer look like a pompous elitist ass.

Stephen Fry is intelligent, Sue Perkins is just someone who can hold her own in a decent conversation and put her own points across. Then again, in this day and age any 'celebrity' who can do that is a rarity!

I'm confused about which one is which... is she the blonde or the brunette?

I never quite get why Stephen Fry is considered to be quite so intelligent. Is it just cause he has a posh accent and went to Cambridge?

I found her attrative before I found out she was a lesbian. Finding that out hasn't changed anything - well - apart from my chances...
Maybe you could convert her :p
