I am heading towards needing my first service on the TT
I was intending to go main dealer, but as I plan to keep the car 5 years and also the recent thread reminded me of my lack of trust in dealer servicing, I am now considering using an Audi specialist

I can turn a few up in the above counties, just wondered if anyone has any recommendations
Could also do Essex at a push depending where exactly

I am not convinced I will see any significant benefit of a full dealer service history as opposed to a documented specialist history at 5 years old.

Other thing, whats peoples views on not using either of the above?
I have a long standing friend who runs his own garage. Having seen his work over many years I would have no hesitation using him, but is it going to be harder to prove car has been serviced to manufacturers guidelines in this scenario, as opposed to a specialist where you can specifically request they follow the guidelines.

I've used quattro tech St Ives now for a new Audi two years in a row. No complaints at all. I provided the parts as I can get them cheaper and they did the work to manufacturer spec :)

Taken it there since new - Selling to an enthusiast, I think a specialist service looks better than main dealer as they often do a better job and actually care more!

Username looks familiar is it you I keep resonding to in the chilli thread?

Do you own the car outright or it on an Audi Finance PCP? I would check the T&Cs as I think you might have to use a Main dealer - certainly to maintain the GFV it has to be a Main dealer service history. Norwich Audi are fine. Not cheap, but a bit less than Audi Stansted (also good) and a LOT better than any of the Vindis dealerships around Cambridgeshire.

And if you need anything on warranty after 3 years, and you’re looking for a goodwill contribution from Audi or the dealer, you’ve got no chance if it’s always been serviced at an Indy.

If you really want a TOP Audi Independent, the TT Shop are in Bedford and Milton Keynes is crawling with Indy’s run by superb VW Group MasterTechs. I like Unit 15 (Skoda specialists but it’s all the same underneath). In fact, there are so many Independents in MK it’s easier to find a MasterTech at an a Independent than a Main dealer these days.
