Hosting is through one.com and I guess you get what you pay for may be the problem here but hope you guys can help.

Ive managed installing joomla and wordpress on different domains hosted with one.com so I had assumed sugar wouldnt be a problem either but Ive encountered a problem and dont have the technical knowledge to sort it and the host is as much use as a kick in the nuts when Ive asked them.

So the problem is that after Ive uploaded the files and went through the first steps of the installer and entered the databse credentials etc it just hangs.

I enquired with the sugar crm forum, link here, but they have asked for the error log of the server but I dont think I have access to it? They also said that the version of php isnt supported but there are posts on there where people have installed it on newer versions with success.

So, I was hoping that someone of the OCUK community may have experienced a similar problem or be able to give me a few ideas to explore.

Alternatively, if it definately isnt possible with one.c5om what would be the cheapest way of getting an install live? Its only for testing purposes for the moment but if it does what I want I would be used in a live environment.

Many thanks.

try running the mysql scripts yourself then setting the connection string.

if you are not technical and have no access to error logs I dont think anyone will be much help.

Pay £15 quid to tsohost for the year and you will get it working perfectly because:

1) Its probably a config/server issue, not a sugar CRM one.
2) If you get the same issue you will have it fixed in one support ticket and 10 minutes.

Just signed up for the basic tsohost package after they answered my ticket after 92 seconds!! Thats some service!!
