Suggest a DDR4 for i5 6600k new build.

Suggest a good 16gb of RAM kit, for a new build. Have not decided on motherboard yet.
And can somebody explain why the price range is so huge with the rams.
Do i want to go with the fastest possible clock rate ?

Im building slowly a next PC for next 5 years so i would pay extra if it's worth.
The idea is to get:
i5 6600k (overclock it)
Motherboard: ...?
RAM: ... ?
GPU: GTX 980 ti

If you're just gaming the cheapest DDR4 will do. I would get 16gb for future proofing.

RAM speed makes only a very small difference to your performance in games OP. Some games it does affect more than others, but overall the effect of a higher clock speed is next to negligible. You're better off spending the extra money on an even better CPU/ GPU.
