Hey guys

I've just won a set of new surround speakers on ebay, and i doubt that my panasonic av reciever will do them justice.

This is my set up as and when they arrive:

Mission m35i (heard a friends and fell in love, but that was musical fidelity and nad powered)
Mission m3c2 centre
Mission m32 Rears
Paradigm PS1000 sub (had this for a while)

Except replace the **** sony in that picture with my Paradigm PS1000, which is an awesome sub for home theater stuff.

my current receiever is a Pioneer VSX-C300....which is:

# DIN Continuous Power Output:
# DIN Continuous Power Output (1kHz) 6 ohm : 30W + 30W Stereo
# DIN Continuous Power Output (1kHz) in Surround Front :30W/channel
# DIN Continuous Power Output (1kHz) in Surround Centre : 30W
# DIN Continuous Power Output (1kHz) in Surround Rear : 30W/channel

So its no ideal to such big speakers :p

Now....what AV reciever would i be able to pick up second hand for <£200 that is gonna be well suited to this set up? HD would be great but not essential as my TV isnt HD, that's next on the list, but understand HD for this price is gonna be hard! :p I do like the sound of Denon recievers.

Cheers guys,

Tom.

ive heard the difference of the m35i on a denon 2805 which is a good few hundred quids worth, vs it preamped with a musical fidelity preamp and then into a nad c370(?) power amp......MASSIVE difference. The m35i do really punch above their range (they were £400 new) and seem to react well to good amping.

Does that Yamaha have pre outs? How musical is it? Ive generally found yamahas to be great for surround but suck for stereo, this will be used for both.

cheers DRZ.....as you know i'm now looking at a Denon 3803, which still has component input for HD and seems more than powerful enough.....was £1k when it was current!

ah yea ive found them, they seem to be going for £500+ 2nd hand! :(

I lost an auction on ebay for a 3803 as my sniper didnt work :( my max bid was £20 more than the winning bid too!

Ah well.

:D

Just won an ex display Denon 4306 on ebay, someone mis spelt it and i got it for £353 :D This amp is still selling used for £600+ and £800+ new. Some amazing features, network addressed, ipod connectivity, hdmi, yet still retains the fantastic sound signature that denons have. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
