Hi all

I've not looked into new types of games for a very long time. I play CS:S and unreal tournament and thats pretty much it. I always used to like the look of final fantasy etc when my friends played it (was before I had a 'decent enough' pc to play them though)

I've played diablo 2 and lod but being honest this is probably my limit for pc games as hand eye co-ordination seems non existant to me for the likes of CS etc! (I'm rubbish)

Can you suggest me a game that I can download a demo of, or try it online free for a few days thats not FPS? Is eve online suitable?

Cheers guys.

If you're looking for something MM, then hand-eye coordination isn't really gonna be an issue.

EVE Online is a very involved game but it has a great community, I'm told. I'm planning on trying it meself in the next few days :)

Other options:

World of Warcraft is the daddy in MM games, with 7 million players, and a very big world, lots of places to go and quests to do, etc. It has lots of instanced dungeons and raids for top-level players too, so that they still have a challenge once they've reached top of the pile, which is something other MMO's have often lacked.

Guild Wars is apparently good fun but I've never tried it myself. TBH don't know much about it, but many others would recommend it I'm sure :)

IMO, World of Warcraft is by far the best, but only if you have the time to invest in it.

If you can't free the time to raid, then the game pretty much ends at level 60 (or 70 come next week).

Ello mate, sorry for late reply!

Is eve worth playing, do you enjoy it personally? I got a link for a free trial from some other page so assumably I can just use that?

yes
EVE is not a solo game but you get yourself in a corp and you'll have people to play with
give the OcUK chan ingame a visit and contact me (VeNT ingame) if you do decide to play, some corps have rules about helping mine etc (boaring) but the one I'm in doesn't its just people helping eachother out!
I've been playing for nearly 4 years now (17th may 03 started) so I'm kinda an old hand, but theres always somthing new to learn!
when you do start you're best off doing the entire tutorial and some of the agent missions, don't jump straight into a player corp (most won't take anyone under 14 days anyway) because you'll get all the suckass jobs and it will put you off.
I'd reccomend getting your ass down to 0.0 as soon as you can (somewhere not owned by one of the big alliances tho, as they will kill you) and don't get disheartened if you die, it happens and will happen loads before you can really fight back!
