Suggested RAM to go in this MOBO?

Hello everyone?

After my unfortunate experience with the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Extreme graphics card, I am considering a rebuild and, since I'm not exactly made of money, I am going to have to get stuff a bit at a time. The motherboard I am looking at is this one

Going to have an AMD Phenom II X6, natch, and prolly an ATI 6950.

What I am not so sure about is what RAM I should put in this board. Ideas please, more knowledgeable than me persons, across price range.

Urgggh. I ordered one to go in my current rig, it gave no pictures, despite power going to the card as the fan was spinning. RMA'd it and they said it worked and sent it back again. Tried it again, no joy, got my computer system builder over to try it, still no joy. Gone back for refund. Rig works superbly with my old ATI 4850 in so no hardware issue there.

So, wanting to have a DX11 video card seems to mean I must rebuild. Any ideas on what RAM then, people?

Hehe, resurrecting this thread. What confuses me about getting memory is the fact that so many types of memory state that they are geared to the Intel set up, does this mean that I can't use them in a Phenom Hexacore setup with this MOBO? I am liking the look of the Corsair Vengeance, but would it work?

Lots of DDR3 is stated to be Sandybridge compatible because it requires a lower voltage than was common with earlier Intel chips. It will work fine with an AMD setup.

I would get some XMS3. Lower profile heat spreaders mean less interference with big CPU coolers.

hello an its not so noobish a qs,i bought ram ocz platinum from overclockers awhile bk which stated OCZ low-voltage DDR3 kits are designed specifically for the upcoming Intel® P55 Chipset and subsequent Intel® Core™ i7, i5, and i3 (Socket 1156) processors. Configured for dual channel mode, these ultra-compatible 4GB kits ensure optimal performance with an ideal combination of low power requirements at 1333MHz, but i threw it in my amd 550be set up an it worked fine m8 so id say buy what ever ram u like an it should work in amd or intel tbh, unless im wrong, but works fine for me hey an my mobo asus too but a cheaper 1 lol, nice mobo btw tht ure getin :)
