Getting a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe SKT 775 MB & Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 -- Can someone suggest best performing memory. Anything up to £250..

Won't be Overclocking, just plain 'vanilla' as it were ..

Need min. 2GB.

If you're not gonna OC then you wont need to get the most expensive ram to have it run at standard speeds. I am personally gonna get some of those Cellshock rams but thats because I want to overclock. Its a waste otherwise to spend so much - I suggest you go for the OCZ ones, no need to overclock and they are at the best price now. Dunno, just my 2c

I'd suggest any brand of memory you trust rated at PC6400. It gives you some overhead if you want to run a 4:5 or 2:3 memory ratio and if you run 1:1, you should be able to run pretty tight latencies.
