I am in the process of building something similar (See spec in signature)
I am using my old HD4870 until I replace it with a HD7850 next payday along with one or two hard drives for storage duty.
I have the OCZ CoreXtream 500w PSU which is a good fit (140mm long), is very quiet, has the appropriate number/length of cables, as well as being cheap as chips.
Because I have gone for the Corsair H100, I have had to sacrifice the ODD tray, so I am mounting my old LG BD/DVD drive in an external enclosure.

The system is running Windows 8 and after an early hiccup to do with the BIOS on my SSD, the system is really flying.
