Hi all,

I'm hoping to place an order in the afternoon but first I would like some opinions.

In the past I have gone with Lian-Li cases but this time I don't want to spend that much on one this time.

I am looking for the following really.

1. A mid tower case
2. Nothing flashy or with weird colors, I'm almost 30! I just want a plain looking case
3. Great reviews, good airflow
4 The case is for gaming so it should be a mid tower at least? Some weekends I may spend a LONG time gaming on WoW so I figure anything less may overheat?
5. With all the above taken into consideration I'm looking for Quality vs Price, so something that can do everything and has a great price.

If there is anything I'm missing to add just shout out, I appreciate the time and help people give here so if there is anything I can do towards making it easier all round just let me know.

Thanks

TBH i like the look of the Fractal cases.

Simple design, seem to cool well, real world users like them and whilst far from cheap they're not silly expensive.

They're available in Silver, Titanium Grey and Black which is quite a nice selection to choose from. :)

Never heard of the make but it looks perfect, It looks a LOT like my old Lian Li case.

Adding to basket now, thanks GT, this was a lot easier than I thought it would be :)

The only problem with it is the HDD rack which you can't remove without drilling out rivets. If they had at least made half of it removable it would pretty much be perfect.

Only a minor gripe though, love mine.

I'm only looking to place a single SSD in there, would this be a problem?

Only that personally I'd rather have more empty space in the case rather than the 8 bay 3.5 inch hdd rack not being used.

But you could drill out the rivets and remove it entirely if you're not going to use it at all, you could just put the ssd drive in the floppy drive bay instead.

No problem - happy to help! :)

As mart says the eight bay arrangement isn't massively flexible in systems that don't need them as the rivets would have to be removed.

That said, if it doesn't effect the hardware you plan to install then it's not a big deal.

An alternative might be the Antec P183 - it has a slightly more flexible internal layout with removable sections but is £20 more and not quite a subtle looking.

EDIT: Here's an internal pic of the P183 -
