Suggestion for any Build games

In recent years, I tend to play less 'dynamic' games. NOt turn-based, but games like Rise of Nations without the war part, just build nice looking cities, NOT SimCities with complicated economic elements.

Any build games?

Anno 2070 is quite a nice one. There IS an economy, but it's not a total ballache that way, and the graphics are lovely. It has some military bits, but they are quite limited and not too intrusive.

Another vote for Banished, there's not enough challenge or goals for me but if you're the kind of person that just wants to make a nice running town it's perfect. And yes it's very pretty considering he built the engine himself too.

slightly different style of game, but castle story is quite good.

Collect resources, build castle, defend against waves.

Have played for a few hours and still enjoying - Early Alpha...

http://castlestory.net/

Are the controls/commands for that still dire or have they improved yet?

Got this quite early on and it wasn't very good :/

I also had a very early copy and was pretty unplayable.

Controls have changed since my first copy and is now very playable. Does still need work however.

Great, thanks for that - I'll give it a go then.

Yeah I had problems even placing blocks and well... generally pretty much everything!

I searched for the game on Amazon, it doesn't have it on US Amazon and UK Amazon says it is unavailable. Where I can get it?

Banished, you mean?

There's this new gaming store I've heard about. It's called "Smoke", or "Vapour" or something. "Steam", maybe? I'm not sure it'll ever really take off, but I've heard you can buy Banished there.

They also do nice line in hats, if that's your thing
