Suggestions for 32gb, 2x16 3600Mhz kits for 3900 or 3950x setup

Hello,

As i am gathering parts for my ryzen 3000 setup I need some advice on which kit potentially would be ok for a 3900 or 3950x setup.

I was looking at the g.skill trident neo 2x16gb C16 with the looser timings but its kinda hard to find it in the uk. Also not sure if it is good i think the timings are 16-19-19-39.

Price shouldn't be a problem but ideally i don't want to spend double money. Instead i would prefer to spend the excess to buy a better mobo or possibly chip in for the 3950x instead of the 3900x if it ever gets released!

I bought Crucial Ballistix BLS2K16G4D32AESB, 2x16GB 3200MHz that I clocked to 3500MHz with the same timings. I think I paid somewhere between £145 and £150 but RAM is a bit cheap er now than when I got mine so you may get lucky.

I was tempted to get that when it was on offer but i hesitate a bit, ideally i would want it to be kinda plug and play ish hence why i was looking at the neo's.

Another recommendation for the Crucial Ballistix LT xxxAESx. I've run them at 3733 with pretty much the same XMP timings. You're paying double for 8Pack ram, which will give tighter timings but outside of benchmarks you wouldn't notice the difference.

So not much fuffing to get to the 3733? nice and you are on an x470?

No, just a case of increasing the voltage and setting the FCLK to match the RAM frequency. You can tune them with DRAM calculator and get even more performance but I'll save that for a rainy day when I don't have much else to do.

I might give them a consideration. I wonder if the 32gb set would be as easy to reach those clocks
