I'm starting to use my laptop more and more whenever I travel or go out and I'm stuck with quite big AAA game titles which I can't really get too comfortable playing when out of the house I dont usually bring my mouse.

My laptop caps games at 30 FPS when unplugged also, so I'm looking for games that aren't too demanding on the components but also don't need a plugged in mouse too much (I use it for games like MGS 5 and Fallout NV because my hands are too big for mousepad/keyboard usage at the same time).

I have an idea at the moment of either:
-Prison Architect OR
-Airships: Conquer the Skies.
Any other suggestions much appreciated in advance

Is the use of a controller possible?

Rocket League is good for short-burst fun.

I'd suggest FTL. Top quality roguelike that you can play for hours on end, or in short bursts. Not graphically demanding too which is a bonus.

FTL is a good shout.
Darkest Dungeon is a solid pick too imho, interesting mechanics.
Punch Club is fairly decent, if you don't mind a bit (lot) of stat grind
Quake Live isn't very demanding and still one of the better shooters if you wanna get your slaughter on but obviously you'd need your mouse there ^_^

Could you get a tiny wireless mouse? It shouldn't take up much room and would massively increase your choice of game.

Maybe look at some turn-based strategy games? Civ, AOE etc. Not hugely demanding of hardware. No mouse required for most of them. Not hugely fast-paced. Easy to pick up and put down.

That is the first time in the history of mankind that anyone has ever said Civ is easy to pick up and put down :).

Just one more turn and I'm done...

It takes time to get into admittedly, but World of Tanks is easy to have a couple of battles in then drop out.

That, FTL and Football Manager 16 are my go to timewaster games.

would also back FTL.

X-com can be fairly bite sized (I have it on my phone for a quick mission while on the train/bus/similar).
