Hi Everyone

I am looking for some help I built the following system roughly 1 year ago with all the parts built from the Overclockers store, and now I am looking for a graphics card and a new PSU to go with the system. I am unsure where to start and have a max budget of £300 and looking for the best spec possible for that price. And wondering if anyone on here can give any suggestions thanks

This is the spec of the system I built with stock ID & description, thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi yes I am looking for a new PSU also, I might be able to push myself to £350 at a push. But would rather keep it closer to the £300.

I mostly play the simulator type of games but hoping to get GTA V when it comes out this autumn hopefully on the PC

EDIT ** The simulator games are ETS2, Train sim, Ship Sim Extreme & Flight Sim X

I'm not familiar with those games. Though I had a Nvidia 770. Which is pretty much the same power of the 280x.

It ran all my games maxed out no problem at 1920x1080. So I'm sure you will have no issues having good FPS in those games.

You should also look into overclocking your CPU if you have a decent cooler. Will gain you some decent performance on CPU hungry games.

I have just got the cooler that came with the CPU, will be my next purchase a decent cooler after researching them to try and get a decent one. Thanks for all your help

If I push the boat out and spend all my money I can possibly afford this graphics card and PSU, which has been recommended by Overclockers

MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

What is everyones opinion on this graphics card especially as been reading it runs very hot and worried it might not last  or is there better for the same price

If you can push the budget for the 290 then I would definitely go for that.

The reference 290s ran very hot but the non reference coolers such as that MSI Gaming do a good job. You should have no issues with heat.
