Suggestions for sensor placements for BigNG

Ok well ive invested in a fan controller and need to figure out how to place (on the heatsink or near the actual chip etc) and fit (Whats the best way to actually attached to the different parts) these sensors to the system without damage. Whats the best way to attached to the different headsinks in the system (for both analogue sensors and digital sensors)?

Bit of tape I think... Just stick it to the side of the cpu etc...

Yea thats pretty much what i thought just wondering if i should actually place them on the heatsink cause i would have thought that the tape or the sensor itself might melt (if something seriouly wrong happens).
