Suggestions for small/cheap/silent Linux machine.

Looking for something to run iptables on, not much for. Main requirement is that it's silent.

I was looking at HP thin clients - http://linuxdevices.com/news/NS4837147004.html

But not completely sure they're suitable. I mean only 32mb flash memory?

Could try somthing like a VIA EPIA 5000 fanless motherboard with ide/compact flash adapter.

IIRC, a thinclient doesnt store the OS/data locally, it pulls it off the network on each boot.
