Hi, I'm looking into getting a new soundcard, budget $150. I am predominantly using it with headphones so one with good amp would be great. The other important thing is mic input quality and the software with good adjustments for the mic boost (not just a on/off switch). I;ve looked at the ae5 and the g6, which both look quite good, but which is better out of the two, or are there alternatives at $150 price range? Thanks for any help or suggestions

One user in Finnish PC forum reported SBX G6 to work well with ModMic.
Actually he pretty much got complaints from other players for voice being too loud and clear compared to voises of others.:p
Its headphone amp is certainly more than enough for most headphones.
And abilitiy to disable processing through physical button is better than having to use software in AE-5.

Though for gaming use Creative's "Project Accent" which should be released in this quarter is sure interesting by bringing head shape customizable HRTF tech.
