ok well i'm going to uni in under a month so i thought i would upgrade my computer a bit, currently i have:
e6600 @ 3.4 (could go higher)
4x1GB crucial ballistix
gigabyte p35 ds3
4870 512mb
lian li pc-7+
1.5TB of hdds
thermaltake 120 ultra extreme
corsair HX 520W
but i'm looking to downsize to a Micro-ATX rig, i already have a Lian Li V350
so obviously i'll need a new mobo, i've been looking around for a good micro-atx board that clocks well and the DFI LANPARTY JR P45-T2RS iP45 seems to be pretty good.
the best cooler i've been told that fits in this case is a Scythe Mini Ninja
now my question is if i have another £100-£200 spare, what would be the best things to upgrade.
BTW i'll be running this under Windows 7 64bit. it will be used for a lot of 3D modelling and rendering as well as gaming, the main programme i'll use (solidworks) is multi-threaded, would quad core and maybe 8GB of memory be the best option?
EDIT: i am willing to buy second hand
