Suggestions on set of lights

I have just recently got a MTB and am starting to do some rides through local woods, yesterday evening I was cutting it close to sundown and it was pretty dark in the woods.

Any suggestions for lights to allow me to see better, i'm just starting out so don't want to spend hundreds something decent to begin with.

Ideally something that is bright enough to see while biking but can be adjusted for the ride home.

You'll need something mounted to your helmet for off-road use.
I use a couple of these - one on my helmet and one on the bars. They use external battery packs though so it can be annoying if you dont ride with a backpack to put the batteries in. Sometimes I use a torch with integrated battery on my helmet.

Ordered in a couple of these see how i get on, always take a camelback with me so can pop the battery pack in that.
