Sugo SG01 or SG03

Hi Guys,

I really want to move back to SFF from my ATX and need advice if anyone has owned both the sg01 and sg03 as to which is best!

Currently swaying towards the SG03 but wow is it expensive...

Already have a gigabyte DS2, zalman 7500 low profile cooler and cpu just need to decide on the case!

I have had multiple shuttles and although I love the size of them they always had issues (size of gfx card, S3 not working, noisy etc)

Any help greatly appreciated.
 
I've used both and i'm totally torn. The SG03 has the better cooling but I just think the SG01 is far better looking.

I think it comes down to if you prefer a "tower" style case or a "desktop" style one.

Also if you're putting a large graphics card in it, you might prefer the SG03 for it's better cooling and much bigger space to fit it all in. But having said that, you can always remove the hard drive cage from the SG01, mount the drive below your optical drive instead, and then you'll fit any card you like. :)
 
Thats brilliant thanks Tute. I do prefer the look of the SG01 but it looks quite bulky footprint wise ( i guess I have been spoilt by the footprint of the shuttle G2's). Its times like these when I wish I could walk into a shop and compare them!

Depends where you live. If you're near OcUK you could pop into the shop and ask to take a look. :)
 
I've got an SG03 and absolutely love it. Such a clever little design, very compact, and looks fantastic.
I'm not a fan of the SG01's looks - I've got a thing for symmetry (yes I know I had an Eclipse for ages! lol)

Can't really go wrong with either, but I know which I prefer.

I see there is now also a SG01-F which allows for longer gfx cards ( i think they have moved the HD cage to other side). I cant see it for sale any where in the UK though :(
 
sg03, same footprint as my old sb75g2 shuttle, just twice as tall. Fits onto my desk better than the sg01 would have done.
I like them both though :)
 
I've got the SG01 and the SG03. Which do i prefer? SG03 all the way. Better cooling, better layout and was a lot easier to put the rig together. Stick two blue led fans on the front and it looks awsome. :) Everyone thats seen the two rigs all say they prefer the SG03.

Not that i don't like the SG01, i actually bought that one 1st. But it does run hot, was a pain to build, g'fix card length and width can be an issue. But it does look good and is one of the better looking sff rigs out there.
