Sugo SG05 mod?

no i dont think so the fan would be in the way.

If you want more SSD room there's plenty on the floor of the case under the drives a couple of holes through the front of the case should hold them.

Got my Sugo today and the mod for two 2.5" under the DVD seems straightforward enough but seems there is space for two 2.5" in front of the mobo on the case flow. Either velcro (not my preference) or drill holes to mount (my choice as have done on previous case). Now just to find some appropriate right angled connecting cables.

Should give me 2xSSD on case floor and one 2.5" 1Tb HDD in bay for storage. No 3.5" bay should help air flow too.

@Gav, whats the deal with PSU. I mean we have boards that need 8 pin aux power and PSU only has a 4 pin. Did you just plug 4 pin in (which one) or some molex to 4 pin adapter?

hine has two 4 pin power connectors plugged them in side by side

Found it hidden in the Z77 manual. One is fine. I have the 300w Sugo which only have one EPS 12v connector on PSU. Your 450w PSU has two, you lucky man.

Still not built my box yet though.. waiting on some shorter SATA cables etc. The PSU cables are a mess with this case though. Wondering if PSU could be fixed with appropriate connections and cable lengths. Probably beyond me! :)

Got mine second hand so no warranty. opened up the PSU and removed the molex cable made some room. its not hard to do, but word of warning make sure you leave a few hours from power off to opening the PSU as capacitors sting and there's no easy way to deck them all like you would in say a radar. rubber gloves are nice and safe too if your nervous but you look like a 1950's bride.

Is it too late to return it for the 450W?

Yes, too late to return but I still don't want a 450w. Mines a 3570k and GTX650 so not so big power needs as you. I'm running 3570k and HD7750 and 8x3.5 HDDs in my server and that doesnt ever draw more than around 150w even runng prime and loading GPU!

My issue is more around the cable lengths either being too long or possibly not long enough or extra connectors. If I pop 2 SSDs on the front floor I need to run a molex cable to an adapter there.

I feel Silverstone miss a trick with this case. Modular PSU would be cool. Also the cutout for the Slim DVD is far too large. Looks pretty crappy when a DVD is slotted in IMHO. Bad Silverstone!

Have to agree, if they had mounted the 3.5" on the floor of the case then put two 2.5" bays in then there would be less blocked airflow and more room, seen a nice mod with the 3.5" drive mounted on the side too.
