Suit sizing guide help.

Hi, today I went into Marks and Sparks looking for a couple of suits, as I will need them in september. When looking around I found out that the 40" jackets were a perfect fit, I know trousers wise, I'm a 30" with 29 for inside leg. After looking around instore I decided to go online. The online sizing guide has baffled me around sizing for the jacket. Each jacket either comes with Short, Medium or Long. The 40" short has 30", the medium has 31" and the long has 32". What are these second measurements from? Trousers I know the second part is the inside leg, when getting a tape measure I assume the second part of the jacket is not the inside arm.

I expect that this is explained on their website somewhere... In, say, a sizing guide.

The measurement sounds like the jacket length to me, which can be measured either from top or bottom of collar so it would be worth checking how M&S provide their measurements.

see if there is an M&S outlet near you. Normally have very good deals on suits
