What gauge cable is recommended for CPU 4 pin extension cables? The ones I've seen are 18. For a Intel i7 13700

16 Would be best but 18 should be fine. A lot of psu's have 18AWG wires for the EPS cables.

Yes, but I couldn't tell you which gauge the cables are (of the different brands).

Bitfenix and Phanteks are 18awg, I have used both and had no problems with either of them. Kolink Core Pro and Adept are 16awg but the Core Standard, Umbra Radiant and individual bog standard ones are 18awg. Lian Li Strimmer cables are all 18awg. Akasa Flexa are probably 18awg as they only state 16awg on their 12v high power gpu cables. Silverstone are also most likely 18awg. Cablemods Modmesh Pro are 16AWG but the cheaper cables don't have the cable spec on their website.
