Hi guys i should be bing upgraded to dsl max in the next week or so and am wondering what my line rate will be. Heres my stats from my router.

Operational data report : near end (Downstream)
-----------------------------------------------
Attainable line rate : 9016 kbit/sec
Attainable Atm rate : 8544 kbit/sec
Used line rate : 2692 kbit/sec
Fast used Atm rate : 2272 kbit/sec
Interleaved used Atm rate : 0 kbits/sec
Rel. capacity occupation : 30
Noise Margin : 23 dB
Line attenuation : 11 dB
Output Power : 11 dBm

Far end line operational data
----------------------------
relCapacity upstream = 37 pct
noiseMargin upstream = 27.0 dB
outputPower downstream = 11.5 dBm
Attenuation upstream = 4.0 dB

Top speeds I would say, very low attenuation of 11dB indicates a short line. Plenty of noise margin available.

If your exchange is Be* enabled, I'd take a guess you would get around 20-22mb with those stats :D

Ooh sorry to post here but it's relevant!

WHat would you say mine would be? I am connected via a hardwired extension off the faceplate (about 2 metres in length) as the router is in the living room RJ45'd to my dads PC as he has no wireless card.

DSL Status: Connected
DSL Modulation Mode: MultiMode
DSL Path Mode: Interleaved
Downstream Rate: 7342 kbps
Upstream Rate: 764 kbps
Downstream Margin: 7 db
Upstream Margin: 19 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 39 db
Upstream Line Attenuation: 10.5 db
Downstream Transmit Power: 0
Upstream Transmit Power: 0

I'm on Sky 16MB which was enabled in our area last month so It's still pretty new.

and me! im on be could i get any faster?

attenuation 28.5
snr 6.5
connected at 16535 downstream

i can download at 12/13MB could this be improved? thanks

Not showing off or any thing but if you look my line stats you can take a sort of work out what the top end of yours be like

I am useing cisco 877 adsl router

Well looking at that you should get min of 16 meg on BEthere

but no reason why you mite not even get into the 19 20 deppending on the small print

For those intrested in Be* you can get a rough idea of what speeds your likely to get by checking out either of these

Linky 1
Linky 2

I found the first link to be more accurate for me though.

BE* are not going to be around my way for a long time :(

my line length is just over 600m and thats not as the crow flies thats the actual length :) i can see the exchange from my house
