Suitable pc for gaming?

I bought this pc for my father in Jan 08 and he no longer needs it.

"Primo Pro"
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 920 2.80GHz SILENT DDR2 System

I don't know what the motherboard is, I think its an ASUS. With a GPU upgrade would this system be suitable for some xmas GTA4ing

Gaming is heavily reliant on the graphics card. With a decent one should be fine depending on settings

Should explain better...

Have my eye on a gpu in MM and dont want to lose it by not knowing the type of socket needed. I'd imagine its the new pci slot other than agp.

You will probably need a new PSU unless it is a very low power model.
