Hi All
I am about to attempt my first pc build but am unsure if my spec is suitable.
The PC will be used primarily for web surfing, watching HD movies and general office use.
I do not plan to play games or overclock.
The most important things are that the build is extremely fast and has the possibility of being upgraded in the future if needed.
Memory - Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CML8GX3M2B1600C11) - £72
CPU - Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail - £169
PSU - Corsair CS550M 550W Semi-Modular 80+ GOLD Certified Power Supply (CP-9020076-UK) - £60
Motherboard - Asus Z87-A Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard - £ 106
HDD - Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive - £100
Case - Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl Mid Tower Ultra Low Noise Performance Case USB 3.0 with Silent 140mm Fans - £80
Total - £587
My budget would be £600 at most.
I understand that if i do not plan to overclock the unlocked CPU and Z87 motherboard may be overkill but i want to make sure the system is relatively future-proof.
Is this build be considered suitable for my needs? if anyone has any suggestions/advice about the components i have chosen it and whether anything should be changed/avoided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Oli
