The Architectural practice office that I work for are looking to put in 3No screens into their new reception area, which will display animations, images, etc.

2No TFT's will loop animations and 1No will display Powerpoints and welcome notices, etc.

They will be stacked vertically with a gap between each and the maximum width is 600mm, therefore the size of screen required would probably be a 22" widescreen - 20" can be specified if no suitable 22" are found. They will be wall mounted and angled so they face head-on to where any visitor would sit so maybe viewing angles isn't a huge issue.

As its in a public area i'm looking at something that is pleasing to the eye with a thin bezel and minimal markings and can be either black or silver in colour. Also, sound isn't required. Inputs would be required to hook them upto a computer and dvd player.

I've had a quick look about and thought that these models may be suitable:

Dell SP2208WFP

Dell Ultrasharp 2208WFP

SAMSUNG SM2243NW (looks good as its probably the most minimalist)

I've more or less listed 3 screens that are TN based that I would prefer not to get, so any advice/ ideas/ suggestions would be really appreciated. Budget isn't too strict as long as its reasonable.

Thanks

You may be better off looking for digital signage monitors rather than desktop monitors.
That way you can get what you want, rather than what you can put together from Samsung/Dell.
You should even be able to get different colours made if you don't want black and your company has a specific brand colour.
Plus they are designed for sunlight readable if your reception is open to the sun.

Contact someone like Semicom Visual and tell them what you need. They can do custom frames for their open frame monitors to minimise the bezel, and maximise screen size (should be able to fit 24-26" in 600mm).

Thanks for the helpful reply El Watcher. Digital signage may be the way to go rather than compromise on current desktop solutions.

I'll maybe get the yellow pages out for local resellers!!

Any other links, advice is really appreciated. Thanks.
