Hello

I have been looking around on the forum and still have some questions rregarding buying a new graphics card. My computer has the specs

Link deleted, Direct competitor link, please re-read the FAQ

I was looking at the 7600 range and was wondering if it was suitable for my pc. Whether it had the correct or adequate PSU or if it would actually make much of a difference if i upgraded my card?

Thanks in anticipation

Rich

P.s what are the main differences between the GS  and GT

The 7600 GT would be ideal for that, and would be a helluva lot faster than the 6200 turbo cache in there, will be a huge boost in performance as the 6200 turbos were poor, the 7600 GT is faster than the 6800 Ultra so is a cracking card.

The GS is slower than the GT due to having slower core/memory etc... so go for the GT, but if you can stretch to an extra £26, then you can get the Sapphire x1950pro which is an absolutely amazing card for the price, much, much faster than the 7600 GT http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-134-SP

Btw im not sure that link would be ok as it looks like a competitor which are not allwed as er the FAQ. :)

Man those Dons are fast. :p

Could you post the specs of the PSU as i forgot to check, so we can tell you if it will be fine.

Open your side panel, look at your PSU. There should be a sticker there saying how many W it is.

My PSU is 300W will that be adequate to power the 7600GT or the x1950Pro?

I don't think it will power the x1950pro, may do the 7600 GT as they aint that power hungry, in fact it may struggle with that as well as 300w is pretty low. :(
