I had a suit made in Thailand way back in April and I have an interview on Monday in London for a job. I wanna look my best and it's a nice suit, supposedly made from Cashmere, but it doesn't any flappy bits (whatever they're called) at the back! i.e. there is no split where your buttocks are, either down the middle or one either side.

Is this something that can be easily changed? It feels a bit weird to me. :p

flaps on jackets are well out of style at the moment

I always have mine made without them

but in answer to your question then yes a decent tailor could do this for you

I wouldn't have thought it mattered, as long as you look smart.

Thats unless you're going for a job within the financial sector, posh sods are always castigating people for the wrong suit fashions :p a few years ago white shirts were out, then they were in...

I've never seen a suit jacket without flaps? I own a couple of casual ones like that, but not a suit.

If you buy a classic cut suit you can never be out of fashion.

/feels sorry for anyone who ever bought a mandarin collar.

its a suit not a jacket. suits are not about fashion they are about looking smart imho.

you need flaps, best to have 2, one on each buttock. a tailor could sort it for you.

.

I haven't bought a suit in the last 5 years that has had vents

I would have to disagree with you on this greatly, the vents add an immeasurable "look" to the finished jacket, leaving those without vents looking a little cheap and off the rack.

I have suits with and without.... the ones without were bought before my snobby clothing revolution :)

But to the OP, in an interview i can't see this making much/any difference. You just won't look as sexyyyy, but ner mind, its only an interview!
