Just wondered if anyone could recommend some summer gloves.

They need to:
  • Fit comfortably under a leather jacket sleeve
  • Be nice and airy
  • Remain comfortable on long journeys
  • Have reasonable protection

Any thoughts?

Cheers! :)

Do you like short or long gloves?

I wear Dainese supermoto gloves in summer, I think they're light enough that a few people wouldn't want to wear them, no support as such but carbon knuckles and good strong (but light) leather and suede palms. I love them to bits. They were £50. I went through about four pairs of summer gloves before I found these and they've lasted wonderfully, couple of years now of pretty heavy use.

They don't have any cuff at all though really though they stop at the wrist which some people don't like, personally I don't really like big chunky cuffs, I only like them on my winter gloves because they keep the wind out!

My winter gloves have cuffs, but they fit over my textile winter jacket, so np.

My current Wolf summer gloves also have a cuff, but not as big. I can cram them under my leather but it isn't that comfy. I'll maybe have to try some without cuffs...

My current ones have kangeroo leather palms which is great for the feel of the controls, but after a long period of riding I'm finding it starts to irritate between my thumb and finger :(
