Hi. I have run an exterior grade cat5e shielded cable from home router ( youfibre wifi7) up into loft out through soffit into flexible ducting then 10mtr run to summer house. I'm getting 90 mbps up and down with 150 package speed. Question is and please tell me if I'm completely overthinking this but should I ground out/ bond/earth my setup. Thank you all.

Sounds like it's negotiating at 100 Mbps rather than 1 Gbps. For these sorts of runs I personally prefer fibre over cat5e etc, but it should work fine. There's no need to earth anything.

It could be one of a few things. Is the cable connected directly between the router and the PC or are there any intermediary switches involved?

When I first read the thread I read it as the OP had installed a pre-made patch cable but now I read if that it's been a self made cable.
