Hey,

It is my Summer Ball on the 31st May and looking at pictures from last year's event as well as speaking to friends who went last year, it seems the dress code includes suits as well as tuxedos so i'm on the search for a summer suit. :)

I really like this sort of style - particularly that colour as i want to avoid black - perhaps a grey suit would look nice as well with a white or even black shirt.

My budget isn't huge, perhaps a couple of hundred at most so looking for either a place where i can hire or ideally purchase as i don't own a suit.

Tried Zara? Their cheaper than most more formal retailers like Jaeger etc but still great. Their just getting the summer collections in now.

House of Frasier in Birmingham do some nice cream/beige linen suits, my mate has just bought us a couple for his wedding in Cyprus

FraSERs. ;)

This would be ideal if Birmingham was near Sussex?

What about a United colours of Benetton?

Apologies.

I also didnt see him specify where he wanted to purchase the suit, i also think there is some majical invention called the internet that allows you to buy things on-line

Who'd want to buy a suit on the web? :\

Get yourself down to Suits You or similar.

Don't know if you have one where you are, but 'Moss Bros' are very good for suit purchase and hire, relatively good prices as-well i think.

I had my ball last year, and I wore a rented tux from debenhams, was really good, the bloke was really helpful, got the trousers customly adjusted to my exact length, and all for just £45 :D

SideWinder, give Charles Tyrwhitt a go - they even have an unconditional three month money back guarantee. I get all my shirts, ties and suits from there, you won't be disappointed.

I just meant how close is Sussex to Birmingham? I have no idea. If it's close enough he could shoot across, as Frasers would be ideal and give a good selection of suits from various brands.

M&S do some decent easy care ones ranging from £50 to £130, and then dry clean only from £80 up to £300. They also have a lot of long suits for tall buggers like me, and a taloring service should you need alterations. Very impressed actually.

Bought my last suit from there some time ago.
They did all the alterations for free at the time.

I think they still do, they did mine for free when I bought my last one from them and they said they will alter it for its' life if needed and it is still in good condition.
