Anyone noticing any difference?

Knocked my fan the other day and thought it might need a remount and repaste but just done it and its only knocked a few c off some rather high temps.

For the 1st time my computer beeped at me today after hitting a temp of 60c on my CPU.

Currently on a E6600 @ 3.2, and its never been past 42c in its life. (well, thats what i think since i've njot really monitored it apart from when i set it up at xmas)

My idle temps seem to be around 5 degrees higher than normal due to the weather. Peak temps hitting around 65. No problem though. It's always peaked at 60 degrees or so in a 21 degree ambient room.

My system's setup for quiet operation, so its fans are pretty much running at a crawl :P, and they are probably covered in 2 years worth of dust.

If your beeping at 60 your warning temps are too low, reset to 70 degrees, np for an E6600 :)

Yeah i put it there for when i originally did my 1st over clock, i thought i'd have it on 60c just incase something was wrong and it didn't rocket past, sort of a failsafe of a failsafe!

Think i will whack it to 70c if it does it goes off again.

Just reset of the fan has seen 5-8c knocked off top temps, so that's now keeping it under 60c.

I don't know what the weather is like in Newcastle but it's crap here in Leeds. When I got up it was 19.5c in my room, that's like February temperatures. I hate living in Britain sometimes.

well of course in summer weather the temps will be higher because of the warm air. with my new cpu fan my ida temp is 38c load temp 45c.

in leicester it gets hot...

it never gets hot here at all.

I'm from California and sometimes it would hit 115 (46C) in the Sacramento area.

My E6600 is hitting around 50C on load @ 3ghz, temp change has been around 8-10C.
idling now @ 33/36 & it has been hot here in the south-east.
I live right on a sea front, so if it gets really hot all i have to do is open all the upstairs windows & doors, the house sucks the air in & blows out of my pc room.
Its like having a giant case! :D:cool:

Its really warm here, has been for a while.

Its not great sunshine weather, but its stuffy and close.

Just had double glazing put in as well, very very hot in here.

anything over 22 celcius is too hot, my temp inside case is 27 and went to 30 the other day, and im sure that that is basically room temp, mabye 1-2 degrees higher, (massive airflow).

19.5degrees in your room?, thats well nice of a temp, because its not a straight line, 20 cools much better than 25, ie room of 20 would have for me idle at 35, and room at 25 would have idle of 45 cpu.!!!!!

i have never closed my window, nor turned on central heating for 3 years now. whoever says london is cold is totally insane!

when i can afford climate control, i would keep my room at 15 degrees and 40% RH, get a ice cold drink and play some music

My quad's running at about 65c ATM (constant Folding@Home on all four cores.) Also Folding on my 8800GT, but my Accelero cooler + 120mm fan hack is keeping the GPU to about 48c load :D

if i had my own house i woudn't need to turn the heating on, thats what the pc is for. if the window is closed my temps are about 55 max on load, with the window open it can drop to 45 (similar difference from winter-summer)
