Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Read some rumours previously that Leicester were interested in James, relieved that he seems to be going to Leeds! £25-30m is insane if true.

It's not really insane. It's the market we live in. He's 23, he's at a tier 1 club who signed him for 15m+add ons not so long ago, he clearly has lots of potential and is mega quick just needs someone to give him the confidence and coaching to live up to the price tag. Plus he's going to one of their most hated of rivals so was never going to be cheap.

Yeah, we were looking at James as a possible replacement for Albrighton. Thankfully Kevin isn't going anywhere ;)

You mean like when Cantona joined united from Leeds for £1.2m cheap :p

How times have changed indeed :D

I hope he does well for you, but from what I've seen of him there are much cheaper ways to get a player with loads of pace and no end product.

Adama Traore would cost about 45m+

Also, thats the point of potential, he isn't the finished article and if Bielsa sees something then he will be a left back, winger, striker and cm in a years time.

Demarai Gray was a couple of million.

If that happens then hats off to him, I'm just glad we haven't taken that punt.

I know, he was with us for 2 years! :( That's what I meant by all pace and no end product, he's got his couple of goal contributions in early this season tho.

Harrison was similar in the Championship when he came to us. Now he’s brilliant and can’t be far from an England call up so I believe we can get him there.

What on earth is Ole doing playing him so often this season if he was heading out the door
Shop window, thinks he can do a job for the team, Ronaldo only just joined to replace him so wasn't available for those games, wanted to have a proper look at him again before making a final decision etc etc. Aside from avoiding being cup-tied, a player leaving doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't be playing them, I mean take Nasri 10 years ago for example was kind of known to be leaving Arsenal very soon, but he still put in a major shift vs Liverpool a few days prior.

Ben white back to brighton on a season long loan

absolute laughing stock we are
There's no way this can be true can it?

Arsenal are a mess at the back and have just dropped £50m on a new centre half... they're not going to give up on him after a couple of games!
