Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Take Maguire out of it and then look at it...

As for international, I mean yes technically but that was two friendlies so not really.

Ok pick any number of City CB's that were 40+, yes its still expensive but the chances of him flopping are pretty slim.

Is he an upgrade on what we already have?

I see he can also slot into RB/RWB, should provide good cover for whoever our 1st choice is going into next season. If he's good and this is part of a major rebuild then it's exciting, but it's hard to see where the rest of the budget is coming from and I'd much rather sign a few first team midfielders. For the first season in years, our defence wasn't really the problem area.

Deffo upgrade on everyone you have at the back and he plays cdm as a secondary position rather than right back.

What like Ake?

Im not saying he will be a flop, i just think its pricey thats all but you certainly needed a cb and having the ability to play multiple positions is a bonus.

I guess in a way we could compare him to Rice as he's a similar kind of player but would be twice the price.

Ake had a fairly lengthy lay off with an injury.

White's a very good player. Whether he's worth £50m, probably not but if he's the player Arsenal want and you have a club under no pressure to sell then that's the price. I'm sure nobody thought VVD was worth £75m when we signed him and look at how that worked out. Obviously I'm not saying White's as good as VVD but sometimes it's better to pay more than someone's worth and get the right player than get better value on somebody that's ultimately not good enough.

The only concern I'd have with White is his size. He's not the biggest and it's no surprise that he wins just half his aerial duels. It's not as if Arsenal have somebody that could partner him and be that dominant figure either.

Grealish close to moving to City for £100m is being reported, that’s mad!

City certainly not shying from throwing around the money this summer..100+m for Kane, 100m for Grealish. Not many teams in the world that can just slap out 200m on two players this summer

Not sure he makes a lot of sense at City but hey ho. They are at the point with their team where its hard to improve on many positions. CF is about their most glaring weakness and midfield is easily their strongest area.

Hm.. his position is a bit undefined and is he going to replace Bruno?

Maybe I'm just too traditional in terms of wanting my wingers to have pace.
In my uneducated opinion, I’d be rid of Pogba and have him and Fernandes interchanging and free to roam.

The news of Pogba discussing a new deal makes me itch. I’m all for it if he actually bothers playing, but he’s like the Martial of midfield to me.

Id sign pogba up on a record deal. Why we left it to now to negotiate is brainless.

Villa shooting it down. Reckon they’re ready to negotiate a new contract.

I just don't get why he would. If he's not careful he's going to end up like Kane and never get his big move because he's priced out of it by multiple contract renewals and ultimately never win anything.
