Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

As a club Barcelona just insist on damaging themselves. Talk of Greizmann going back to Athletico aswell with Saul coming to Barca. They paid £110 mil for him two years ago!!
Frees greizmann’s wages and Saul will be on less, maybe up to €200k a week less and Barca get a player four years younger. Not a bad deal.

Its more that they have wasted 120 mil and 600k (reported wage) on a fella they are willing to swap for someone worth half that because he's absolutely bombed at the club.

Yet again Barca signed him when they didn't need him. because he was a big name and it weakened Atletico. At least that was the idea!

Apparently we have rejected the chance to sign Kabak on cut price deal at 8m, if the cost is true I think at that price it was dumb to say no.

Matip is 90% of the time injured, I can see Philips pushing for a move too. would have made sense to get Kabak at that price imo

Really? I would be stunned if they spend £120m on a player they didn't think would make them a lot better just to weaken a competitor. Its not even like Barca would feel Atletico are a long term direct rival either. Barca are arrogant as hell and would see Atletico as the next tier down from them regardless of current standings.

They did it with Coutinho. They sign ‘names’ not players they need to balance their team or fill a position that they’re weak in.

They signed Coutinho to weaken Liverpool? I agree that they sign big names but they are signing big names who have been performing at a very high level for their previous club. They overpay for them massively I agree but they should in theory be buying them for their talent.

Well, no, they signed him because he was the best midfielder who was available, at an extortionate price.

Why would we loan telles to Roma?

I'm pretty sure that Luke Shaw will need some time off and a break for the first part of the season.

Therefore it would make sense to keep telles and actually play him and make a decision in January or next summer.

Arsenal finally agreed a deal with brighton for ben white it seems
Had their pants pulled down again aswell. What is it with them overpaying for players/ offering stupid contracts?

They keep splashing the cash but honestly think they need to go back to the old way. Go find some young raw talent from abroad and give them some minutes. Mould them into what you need instead of spending 50m on square pegs for round holes.

I dont see white as a square peg he’s a usefull defender and can play defensive midfield

if xhaka is indeed on his way maybe arteta is looking for him to play in the centre?

We do have Brandon Williams also, he had a great break through season in 2019/20 but had limited opportunities last

Unless Trippier really wants to come back to England, why would he come to United? A backwards step from winning titles to persistent underperformance?

The square peg was more in reference to Arsenals attacking signings/ negotiations.

Whites a versatile player and we dont know how Arsenal are planning to play but 50m is crazy money in the current climate. 25-30m you'd consider it a great signing but 50m is instant impact star player money.

How many 50m signings have there been this window?
