Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Would never join City due to his days at United, people say he's arrogant and selfish but he only ever wants to play for one club per league.

Far more likely to go back to United if the 25 mil fee is correct as United could still afford his wages on top of the other signings they've made.

The most likely situation is he does another year at Juve and then goes to PSG.

You really think so? I think loyalty in football is long gone and footballers will generally follow the money firstly and secondly where they have chance of success. City tick both of these boxes

Not sure thats true. He doesn't need the money and City isn't a challenge. He went to Madrid to become the best player in the world. He went to Juventus to try another league and try and help them win the CL. I can't see what City gives him and I'm sure he has affection for United still. PSG maybe but Messi is there. Would be a mess trying to play both of them.

Its not a move I would have made if I had been him. He was a week in , week out starter for his team, joins Liverpool. Sits there for 6 months not playing a single competitive match, then gets shuttled back down the Championship for the whole season and Sheff Utd dont even have an option to buy on him either. IMO its not the wisest career move by him, sometimes you are better off staying playing every week at your Championship side than you are not playing at all higher up. I feel it was probably a better deal for us at the time than for him.
It depends on your outlook. He joined us with a realistic chance of featuring at the back end of last season and had it not been for a couple of niggly injuries he would have played a game or two - that was an opportunity he'll never have again. He could have stayed at Preston for the last 5 months of his contract and moved on to a Sheffield Utd this summer and spent the rest of his life thinking "what if?". He's taken 5 months out of his playing career, training with some of the best coaches and players in the world and now ended up signing on loan for a better side than he was at before. I'm not sure he's done too badly out of it all.

I guess we will find out in time, no doubt when he eventually moves on properly he'll reveal what he thinks about the Liverpool move and whether he views it as wasted time in a short career.

Not sure I get this move, was he really any better than Willock?

He didn't impress me that much over the course of the season. Just another lightweight, technically proficient player. We have lots of those already though and like you say, after Willock's scoring from last season i'd have rather gambled on him than someone who barely got any goals or assists last year.

Sounds like a standard recent years Arsenal-type move then.
Hope Willock does well, saw he’d posted a video of himself as a kid as a Arsenal fan and was quite touching, even coming from me as a Utd fan!

Kane not on the plane for Tottenhams EL game on Thursday. Wonder what that means. Deal is imminent. Deal will probably happen before window closes or he has thrown his toys out of the pram.

This is fantastic news as it means we have clear shot on Haaland next summer and leaves more chance keeping Pogba.

the only place haaland will leave dortmund for is real madrid and if you think he will go to utd you are wishful thinking but there again you think oles winning the league this year so no surprise
