Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Sorry Rob who else should we sign for a team who have finished 8th in consecutive seasons and has no European football?

Yeah I would, one is young and would cost drastically less over the next 2 years. and one is at the twlight of his career and has shown a drastic drop in form. The striker market is hardly flush with options right now is it! What do we have to offer apart from "trusting the process"

would he? DCL would cost more then you’d get for Auba….any money saved in wages would be swallowed up in the transfer fee.

We could still get a fee for Auba and it's a huge salary off the books, that said knowing how our transfers have gone recently, we'd pay him to leave or something silly.

Don't get me wrong, I don't rate DCL over Auba but unless he finds his form we are in serious trouble this season imo.

It’s been a disaster of a window. Over £130m spent and not one player who markedly improves the first team.

I used to get annoyed at the Kroenke’s about not spending money, but now I wish they’d stop throwing it at Arteta and Edu to ***** up the wall.

There's a Youtube i was watching last night which was a fan debate with Neville, Carragher and Keane.

There's an Arsenal fan on it who's so deluded on recent transfers it's hilarious.

No idea where they got 69 from unless we count goals in the Championship... which we shouldn't. Although that does tell me hes better than Rashford, Martial and Ronaldo at 22 despite no one in their right mind thinking he is.

I'm sure there is a reason teams weren't queuing up to sign him for £34m. Couldn't be that hes shown little to suggest he will ever be top class.

Decent player, no more at this point. Maybe he will go on to be a world beater but I don't see it.

It's just standard Arsenal, isn't it?

Ben White - good technical defender, can get bullied.
Odegaard - lightweight playmaker, more of the same.
Ramsdale - not nearly as good as Martinez, a player they didn't even want.

Huge question marks over the manager.

They're going round in circles.

They won't get a fee for Auba either. Hes on massive wages, hes 32 and on a 3 year deal. No one is likely to pay him more than Arsenal in wages so why would he leave unless someone matches it. Anyone matching it won't give them a transfer fee.

Arsenal are basically doing what United have done for years. Giving players far too rich contracts because they are so scared of losing what little talent they do have. Makes your wages far exceed the quality of your squad and makes players a right bugger to move on.

Why is he being compared to 3 wingers?

Even more the fact that most of his goals all come from the championship. Never the less Chelsea have been extremely smart. They have a superb selection of forward players currently. Tammy gets to go abroad and be the main man to prove himself and Chelsea get a reasonable buy back clause when Lukaku gets too old/ends up being rubbish.
