Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

Well chaps, what are your IN/OUT predictions
OUT: James, Mata, Matic, DeGea (thankfully), Lingard, Jones, Dalot, Periera
LOAN: Williams
IN: DCM, , Pau Torres (cheaper than Verane?) , Sancho,

More game time: Amad, Tuanzebe

I wouldnt put it past the club to go all out for Kane and then say - no more money left though

(and to be honest if it was a choice of Kane or a few -cheaper - players to the same amount of outlay - I would say its irresponsible to get Kane.

I would whole heartedly say Sancho, Pau Torres + cheap DCM (or striker to compliment Cavani) is 100 times better for the team right now than just Kane.

My thoughts are above about who could go - I think Martial will stay (unfortunately) because he is worth more than what we will get for him.

Tuanzebe should be a fantastic player but concerned at the moment he will end up being a liability like Bially (always injured when you need him)

We also have to sort our Pogba's contract situation some how - and that will be nigh on impossible (given how much more money he is likely to ask for)

I also dont know why the club is even looking at Comen in comparison to Sancho, Kingsley is a good player but pretty sure Sancho's stats over the last three seasons (in the same league) have been better all around significantly - and Sancho wouldnt be coming JUST for a pay rise.

Signings wise I think we'll sign three, it's our usual practice. Hopefully Sancho, a right back and a more defensive midfielder. We were linked with Trippier back in January. Outgoings Dalot will probably go to Milan, Pereira either permanently somewhere or on loan, same with Chong. De Gea is the big question mark, who knows. Mata will probably leave but I think Matic will stay. Can't see any other outgoings.

A Leipzig based journo is reporting that Konate to Liverpool is all but done. If we can get a CM in to replace Gini (I like Bissouma but AFCoN is an issue) and another forward I'd be happy.

Bissouma didn’t look that great on Sunday.

Probably didn’t want to anger his next employers :p

Never knew that we were.
Didn’t stop you with the likes of Salah, Mane and Keita. Keita might be off, so it would be a good replacement.
When we signed Salah and Keita the AFCoN had been moved to a summer tournament, after 1 year they then moved it back to Jan/Feb time. And the fact that we're going to have 3 players away is more of a reason why we're unlikely to sign a 4th player that will be away.

a striker doesnt have a really decent season these days without hitting 25 league goals so only scoring 60% of that isnt that remarkable
Last 3 seasons nobody has scored more than 23 goals and it's rare that more than 1 player gets 25+, so we're basically saying no striker has had a decent season the past 3 years it's rare that more than 1 striker has a decent season. Also slight semantics but I said over 15 goals, i.e. 16+. I'd also say, if it's really that easy to score over 15 goals, why aren't other players doing it more regularly?

Always this is OT a bit, from my perspective I'm hoping for:
  • Cash in on Willock whilst his stock is high having scored 7 games in a row for Newcastle, if we don't get a sensible offer then have a look at him in preseason
  • Replace him with Ramsey if the financials stack up, don't really see this happening though
  • Get Torreira back in the fold
  • Get a decent CB in to replace the departing Luiz
  • Listen to offers for Willian, he'll be 33 by the start of the season and on a big wage. I would rather see the likes of Pepe and Saka given a chance.

I'm worried people are going to be sniffing around Raphinha. Leeds need a left back and a striker, a serious injury to Bamford and we'll be ******. A good box to box to play alongside Phillips as well. Wouldn't harm to get another wing player too

Ryan Kent/Daniel James probably.

Raphinha won't go yet I think

Surely he's a capable striker if Bamford were injured?

He can, but he's more of a number 10, playmaking with the ball on the ground and running off a striker, dropping into the midfield to control possession, that type of stuff. We need someone who's physical like Bamford and can keep Bamford on his toes.

There is talk that he hasn't settled in England as well, not sure how true it is though
