Summer Transfer Window 22/23

I’m guessing cause our scouting team only looks at well known players :(
Even the lesser known players are commanding silly fees.

If I were United and had some cash id be looking at bringing in Patrik Schick. Absolute unit, quick, can play a few positions etc, scores for fun and plays for a club you'd think would make him attainable.. Nunes who looks to be off to Wolves would be a solid signing as would a player like Ward Prowse. Antony at Ajax looks a talent as well but the numbers for him are just daft. Ndidi of Leicester might be a shout and a cheeky bid for Patterson at Everton.

United need to be focusing their time on players that are actually obtainable with them being in the position they are. I.E not Frankie De Jong and not tools like Arnautovic and Rabiot.

Some of the other prem teams have managed to pick up some absolute gems in the past couple of years, ndidi, fofana, bissouma, caicedo, norgaard, rodri, Bruno Guimaeras to name a few.

What is it that make United unable to scout the talent. All of them players have been signed for small fees relevant in today's market.

Looks like we’re about to sign a new defender (Pervis Estupinan) from Villarreal to make up for losing Cucurella at the very least.

Now been confirmed, hopefully it works out and we don’t lose him after one season!

Rodri was 62m...

Who City also wanted.
Yeah but he'd be playing in a dedicated system that would probably suit him and take pressure off him, same with Maguire, yes he's not great but as he's been "marked" every movement is scrutinised and magnified way above other players who have so far seemed to escape it (Fernandes I'm looking in your direction)

A capable club would have put Fred onto the 'Goretzka' diet:

Because we have seen him get manhandled off the ball too many times. He's like an annoying gnat instead of a thunderball and there are numerous examples of him losing out in 50/50 challenges due to physicality. Some even directly led to opposition goals...

Great 50m signing though.

United's model means they only buy established players.

Recently they seem to have a habit of turning decent players into terrible ones. :D

So Casemiro has got to be a long shot. Not sure why that would work unless Real Madrid want rid of him as they have a lot of younger midfielders they want to focus on.

There are plenty of attainable players who would improve the team quite easily, even if we do have to overpay as usual. Ruben Neves, Tielemans, Caicedo - and those are just 3 in the Premier League. There will be countless others.

The fact we're entering the final stages of the transfer window with our biggest player possibly leaving, having done virtually no business is yet again unforgiveable - although not remotely surprising.

Feels like we are just useless at understanding transfers. Most other clubs seem to either get a player or move on. If they can't agree a deal quickly then they assume that its unlikely to happen and move onto the next target. United seem to get obsessed with a single player, have a drawn out negotiation period and then it all stalls and falls through. I can't think of too many times over the past few years that any top 6 club outside of United has spent an entire window on a single player yet we do it repeatedly.

I'm sure sometimes is media BS but often its very much true.

We simply can't go into this season with McFred as first choice and it sounds like we need to get rid of Ronaldo one way or another and bring in another striker.
