Summer Transfer Window 22/23

And we've announced the Fabio Carvalho deal. Technically he's joining on a bosman but we will have to pay training fee compensation to Fulham which has been agreed at £5-8m.

That Mbappe deal is pretty ludicrous. Ludicrous of all new levels.

Spot on, even of they sold him there is no player on the planet that could step into his shoes imo, but that offering is just insane and something I didn't think I'd ever see

To be fair, i'd argue he makes little difference. With or without him they will win the league and not the CL

I'd be interested to see the Cost Benefit analysis for offering him them terms! :p

Villa have announced the signing of Kamara on a free from Marseille. There's always been a fair amount of hype around him (probably football manager related) and he had been linked with a number of bigger clubs so it is a bit of a surprise he's joining Villa.

So that's why he is retiring from sky sports.

Apparently (according to twitter so get the salt) they offered 60k more than Newcastle and Real Madrid per week.

I can't imagine Villa could or would be in a position to do that. I can't say I saw any credible links with Real, there was some very loose links to Utd and more solid reports saying he could be off to Atletico.

There's more and more reports coming out of Germany linking Mane with a move to Bayern. I'd never want to see him go, I'd hate it in fact, but this really wouldn't surprise me. We're a very pragmatic club and it's difficult to see a scenario where we hand out new contracts to both Salah and Mane. I'm not sure our way of playing really suits aging forwards either and with 1 year left on his deal it probably makes sense to get a bit of a fee for him and look for the next 22-25 year old to come in.

Not sure what's going on with this Tchouameni chap. A couple of Liverpool based journo's say we are interested in him but the club think he's off to Real however reports coming out of France are saying the opposite, with him wanting to join us over Real.

I even saw one journo say he's agreed terms with both clubs! He's obviously waiting to see who wins on Saturday! :p

With everything Mane has done for pool, it is probably time to cash in on him and I think it fits with Liverpool's model of have an incredible model within the transfer market, cashing in on Mane now and unearthing the next gem, while keeping the net spend low is something they have been incredible at.

I am seeing multiple reports the last few days of pool going for Otavio, Diaz's previous team mate.

I think with Diaz signing we have a ready made replacement there but as we've seen this season we need a big squad to compete on all fronts. I cant say ive seen a lot of Carvalho but he's described as a winger yet others say hes more of a 10?

10 goals and 8 assists isnt to be sniffed at, at his age

There's also Lucas Paqueta being linked to rejoin his buddy Bruno.

Starting to look like our transfer strategy reads simply, "sign Brazilian international team" :D

Yes Eddie was pretty coy about this when asked.

He has a high price tag but I believe there's a good chance depending on sales and other business.

Sounds like this Tchouameni guy is off to Real. Can't say I'm overly disappointed as I've never seen him play but hopefully we have other midfield targets because that's an area of the side that needs bolstering next season.
Conte has been given 150 million to spend in the summer. I guess that is Arsenals chances of top 4 going out the window. Can see the league being a lot closer next year.
I'm not sure that's the case. ENIC have injected £150m of equity into the club, how that gets spent remains to be seen but if you look at Spurs finances, I'll be more than a little surprised if it results in an extra £150m of transfer funds.

In addition to the £850m odd worth of bank debt Spurs have, as of their last set of accounts they also owed other clubs a whopping £140m for previous transfers and that's before you factor in the £40m odd they have to pay to turn Romero's loan into a permanent deal and the £30m odd for Kulathingy.

And let’s be honest here, for a top level, world class player who is in contract you’re looking at £50-75m to sell to a PL club. Potentially even more if they’re coming from another PL club. Or are English.
