Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Why are you obsessed with money being recouped? That's often not the case with transfers at the top clubs. The huge revenues mean you can swallow losses in order to have the best players available.

Transfer fees are different these days. £50m is the old £20m. Ultimately it all comes down to how a player performs as to whether they've been worth it or not.

You've also decided that Casemiro will be useless when he's 32, there are many midfielders far beyond that age who are still great players.

If what you say is true about 50m being the new 20.

How come we couldn't scrape even 10m for Eric Bailey? Or get a fee for Telles. Our players have deflated in value despite what you are saying. They should all be worth double now what we paid right? Not 80% less.

And no clubs were offering us 50m for Matic or Mata. Strange they both also became useless in the EPL at 31/32 years old. Coincidence I guess.

Bailly has a terrible injury record and will be on higher than average wages. He's inconsistent and not in much demand.

2 examples doesn't really prove anything.

I think that’s the most positive comment of yours I’ve ever read!

Good luck to Antony, indeed. I really hope he succeeds and is a step in the right direction for us! :)

I want him to do well. You think I enjoy going to OT and see us losing to Brighton or watching us lose to Brentford?

I just have some reservations about the cost and quality ratio we have here. It seems to follow a similar path we've tread many times.

Let him prove the doubters wrong.

Personally, I feel €100mil for Anthony is absurd, just feels far too high. Think it’s a pants down moment for United but I’m happy to be proved wrong. For me, his stats need to be exceptional over multiple seasons to warrant that price tag.

All the Utd fans who mocked our price for Nunez can be quiet now after that fee for Anthony :)

Manchester United are exploring the possibility of a late deal for Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest.

If they can secure a move, they will allow Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave - West Ham and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing him.
