Why not? When you have the likes of Hazard going for over 100 in his last year why should 35mil be an ok figure? I know Hazard was younger and we've had Covid but 35mil? I'm not expecting close to 100 but they should be looking closer to 50 imo.
I just think its way too much for his last year, i think 30 would be a decent price for both sides. Hazard like you say was younger and at the time the star player of Chelsea and one of the top ones in the league. I'm not sure Mane was ever at that level.

Hazard was younger when he moved but not by much. At the weekend they were suggesting if Liverpool had won then Mane would win the Ballon Dor. 90 goals in 196 games when you aren't a number 9 is frankly ridiculous.
No-one is going to convince me, in a world where Ox, the fella made of pasta, goes for a similar price to Mane and yes i know Ox was a lot younger but he was half the player and has the body of a 60 year old. Id rather we held onto Mane then take 35 mil tbh.

It happened a short while back with Martinelli. Klopp praised him up during a post match interview and for a few days after the papers were full of stories about him going to Liverpool. Ridiculous the way the media just seize on silly things for a story.

Oh it’s good but Liverpool are one of the best sides in the world and create masses of chances. Very good player but not in the same class as peak Hazard.

I've never quite seen the point of Dembele at Liverpool, even more so if talking about as a replacement for Mane.
Mane has 107 goals in his last 5 years. Dembele has 32.
Last season, Mane scored 23 goals , Dembele scored...2. Yes, 2. In his last 86 appearances, Dembele has scored just 14 goals.

Dembele is a great player, but his attitude and injury record are huge problems.
