Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Lots of talk circulating atm that either Leicester have accepted a bid from us for Tielemans or it’s coming very shortly. Fee is said to be £25m with addons, rising to a potential £30m. Pinch of salt stuff but it does seem that maybe only a late gazumping from Pool or Utd could mess it up now.

Unless @Tombstone is Julian Ward then I don't think you have to worry about Liverpool.

I'm really not sure about him, i've never really seen him stand out. Presumably he's to replace Xhaka but with more of an attacking threat?

He’s one of those players who’s very good but often flies under the radar a bit. He’s been one of the best players in Belgium's recent nations league games. We’d all ideally like better, but we have to be realistic about where we are and who we can attract now. I think Tielemans and Jesus would actually be a decent result. We’re still to see what Marquinhos is like too.

I don't see them 2 making much of a difference to us.

EDIT
Just not playing Xhaka would probably save us a few games in penalties and red cards actually.

50 million on Jesus who hasn't had a good season up front for a few years to me is a gamble, who else is in for him? Tillemans at 25 million isn't too bad to be honest if Xhaka gets less game time. 100k a week for Nketiah is ***ing mental.

I'm shocked Sterling isnt linked with clubs. One year left, seems to be available for transfer...cant cost too much in a fee.

On Jesus tho i cant remember until the back end of this season where he had a good run in that City team. I dont think he's a worldy but it would be a solid and less risk then many others out there. I honestly think Arsenal should go for Sterling as well but i imagine a number of clubs are looking at getting him on a free next season.

Not sure I rate KP that highly but quite a lot of DMs are hard to appreciate visually.

Lukaku going on loan apparently. How much did they pay for him, £100m? Guess he found his level in Italy? Probably even more embarrassing than the Pogba saga.

It would definitely be a huge improvement on what we have currently (not hard I know). He was really good on his first season I think when played up front a lot but that was quite a while ago. I guess I'm hoping for someone a little more prolific in front of goal.

I’m not sure, least they recognised their mistake and are trying to crisis management the **** out of it unlike us who appear to award failure and poor performances.

Offering 300k a week for Pogba after the last few years is insane.

City coming after Cucurella now, hopefully the recruitment team at Brighton already has replacements lined up!

He was integral to the Bielsa way, the stats speak for themselves when he didn’t play.
I imagine our new way of playing won’t be as reliant on him, hence we could probably find someone close to his ability abroad for a fraction of the price.
